
Since 1946, the Knox Concert Series has presented a Season of four to five
major concert events.
With totally volunteer leadership, the Series is one of the premier cultural institutions in Alabama having presented such classical music legends as Itzhak Perlman, Isaac Sterne, James Galway and Leontyne Price as well as popular artists like Henry Mancini, Wayne Newton, Willie Nelson, Frankie Valli and Liberace.
The Series is devoted to enriching the cultural ambiance of its community and is dedicated to educating young people to the merits of the live classical arts. The Nutcracker and various opera, ballet and symphony productions have been the vehicles for this latter directed at both elementary and high school students.
